Assignment #3 - CONNECTIONS

You have been working hard on creating deep and meaningful questions and connections.  I would like you to post 2 deep connections (Chapter 7 and Chapter 8) for this assignment and be sure to describe the emotions/feelings associated with your connections.  Complete one connection for each chapter.

Include specific details on what you are connecting to and what you are connecting from, as well,  do not forget to indicate the type of connection you are making (T-T, T-S, T-W, or T-M)

As usual, pay close attention to your spelling, capitals, punctuation, grammar, etc.  If you post your response and notice that you need to make some edits and revisions, do not erase your original post, but simply post a 'REVISED' version.

REQUIRED:  Comment on your classmates' connections.

ASSIGNMENT #2: READING STRATEGIES - QWILS

You have been working hard on your QWILS over the last 2 months.  Please post your QWILS from today's in-class reading.  Be sure to write in full and complete sentences and pay attention to proper spelling, capitals, punctuation, etc.  Don't forget to go back and check the blog to read the other QWILS that have been posted.

OPTIONAL WORK: Feel free to respond to the QWILS and answer some of your classmates' questions.

Assignment #1 - Prediction

You have all completed your rough drafts and your self and peer edits (minimum of 2).  Now it is your turn to make some final edits and/or revisions to your work.

I noticed that many of you did not use enough appropriate transition words in your paragraphs.  Please feel free to use the list found on the following page: http://www.sass.uottawa.ca/writing/kit/grammar-transitional.pdf.

Type out your final/good copy of your predictions after adding or changing 5 transition words.  Remember to pay attention to your capitals, spelling, grammar, transition words, etc.
